Objective
The objective of Pfitschigogerl, also known as "Finger Football," is to score the most goals by flicking a small disc into the opponent's goal using your fingers.
Setup
- You need a flat playing surface, usually a table, which acts as the playing field.
- Each player requires a small disc, called a "Pfitschigogerl." This can be a flat button, a coin, or a specially designed disc for the game.
- Mark the goal area on each long side of the table with tape or by setting up small goals.
Rules
-
Setup: Both players sit at opposite sides of the table, with their discs placed on their side of the playing field.
-
Kick-off: At the start, a coin toss or a similar method decides which player gets the first "kick-off."
-
Turn Mechanics:
- Players take turns flicking their disc towards the opponent’s goal using a quick finger movement.
-
The hand must not touch the table during the flicking movement.
-
Scoring a Goal:
- If a player successfully flicks their disc into the opponent's goal, they score a point.
-
After a goal, the game resumes with a new kick-off from the center of the field.
-
Penalties:
- If the disc falls off the table, possession goes to the opposing player.
-
Breaking the flicking rules can either lead to repeating the turn or awarding a free shot to the opponent, based on prior agreement.
-
Endgame:
- A match ends when a player scores a predetermined number of goals, usually five or seven, or when a set time limit expires.
Strategies
- Aim Carefully: Accurate flicking is more important than power. The right angle can make the difference between a miss and a goal.
- Defend Smartly: Occasionally play defensively by keeping the disc near your goal to restrict the opponent’s opportunities.
Pfitschigogerl is a fast-paced and fun game that requires skill and good hand-eye coordination. Enjoy playing!
