Objective of the Game
Tiddlywinks is a simple and entertaining dexterity game where the goal is to flick small discs, called "winks," into a container. The objective of the game is to be the first player to successfully get all of their winks into the container.
Game Components
- A set of winks (small discs) for each player in different colors.
- A larger disc, used as a flicking tool.
- A container (like a bowl or a cup) into which the winks must be flicked.
Setup
- Each player chooses a color and receives all the winks of that color.
- The container is placed in the center of the playing area.
- Each player needs a larger disc to flick the winks.
Gameplay
- Players take turns flicking a wink using the larger disc towards the container.
- To flick, place the wink on a flat surface, position the larger disc on the edge of the wink, and press down lightly with the finger to propel the wink across the table into the container.
Rules
- Turn Order: Players agree on an order beforehand. This order remains for the entire game.
- Scoring: Once a player successfully gets their last wink into the container, the game ends and that player wins.
- Penalty Rule: If a wink falls off the table, the player must place it back in front of them and wait for their next turn to flick again.
- Collision Rule: It's allowed to unintentionally hit other players' winks. However, the main target is always the container.
Strategic Tips
- Aim: Practice finding the right force and direction to securely flick the winks towards the container.
- Flick Technique: Maintain the optimal angle and finger position while flicking. Experiment to find the style that suits you best.
