Objective of the Game
The objective of Tag is for one player, designated as the "It", to chase and touch other players. Once a player is touched, that player becomes the new "It".
Game Setup
- Choosing a Player: Determine a player to start as "It". This can be decided through drawing lots or volunteers.
- Define the Playing Area: Establish the boundaries of the playing field and any potential "safe zones" where players cannot be tagged.
Rules of the Game
- Starting the Game: The "It" might count to a certain number while the other players scatter to avoid being tagged.
- Tagging: The "It" tries to touch other players. Once a player is tagged, they become the new "It".
- Safe Zones: If agreed upon, safe zones can be areas where players are immune from being tagged. Staying in a safe zone for too long is typically discouraged to keep the game fair.
- Ending the Game: The game ends when players are tired or the predetermined playtime is reached.
Strategic Tips
- Agility: Quick responses and unexpected directional changes can help evade being tagged.
- Deception: Fake movements and distraction tactics can be useful to confuse the chaser.
- Cooperation: In some versions, it may help to work temporarily together as a team.
