Objective

The objective of Myachi is to keep the small rectangular sack in the air using various tricks with your hands, without letting the Myachi touch the ground. It is akin to a hackysack but played with your hands.

Game Materials

You need a Myachi sack, a small rectangle-shaped sack filled with rice or sand. If you don’t have one yet, you can purchase them online or in some stores.

Basic Rules

  1. Preparation: No specific setup is needed, but there should be sufficient space available. A flat, safe surface is ideal.

  2. Starting Play: The first player tosses the Myachi lightly in the air and attempts to catch it on the back of their hand. The Myachi should never be touched with the palms.

  3. Moves and Tricks: Players can perform various tricks, like throwing the Myachi from one hand to the other or catching it behind the back. The trick must always be executed with the back of the hands without gripping.

  4. Violations: If the Myachi touches the ground or is played with the palm, the attempt ends; the next player gets a turn.

  5. Winner: It can be played freely without a specific winner, or alternatively, a winner is determined by who performs the most successful tricks.

Tips and Strategies

  • Coordination and Practice: It takes practice to improve coordination and execute complex tricks.
  • Creativity: Invent your own tricks and moves to give the game a personal touch.
  • Group Play: In a group, you can challenge each other by setting specific tricks for points or organizing tournaments.

Myachi is great for short games on the go or at parties as it is easy to learn and can be played almost anywhere.
