Chill & Chili (also known as Geele Hass)

Objective

Chill & Chili is an entertaining party game where the goal is to answer spicy questions while collecting as few "Chili Points" as possible, which could involve spicy sauces or other fiery challenges. The player with the fewest points at the end of the game wins.

Number of Players

The game can be played with 3 to 6 players.

Materials

• A set of question cards
• A score sheet
• Several "Chili Tokens," representing the points being awarded

Setup

1. Mix the question cards thoroughly and place them as a deck in the center of the table.
2. Each player receives a score sheet to note their collected Chili Points.
3. Place the "Chili Tokens" nearby, so that they're accessible to all players.

Gameplay

The game progresses over several rounds until all questions are answered or a predetermined number of rounds is reached.

Game Rhythm

1. Ask the question: The first player draws a card from the question deck and reads the question out loud.
2. Answering: Each question contains three answer options. Each player except the questioner submits their answer secretly.
3. Evaluation: The questioner reveals the correct answer. Each incorrect respondent receives a "Chili Token."
4. Next Player: The player to the left of the current questioner becomes the new questioner.

Special Rule: Spicy Duel

If, after six rounds, several players have the same number of Chili Tokens, they enter a "spicy duel." This involves either a decision round or a simple extra question. The winner of the duel is not penalized (no additional points), the loser receives two extra Chili Tokens.

End of the Game

The game ends either after a predetermined number of rounds or when all the questions have been exhausted. The player with the fewest Chili Points wins.

Strategic Tips

• Anticipate the responses of your fellow players. If you know someone is particularly good at a certain topic, think twice before blindly answering.
• Sometimes it can be strategically wise to avoid the question deliberately to not risk collecting Chili Points, depending on how much lead you have.
