Objective of the Game
The objective of Adlerschießen ("shooting the eagle"), also known as "Vogelschießen," is to use an artificial crossbow to shoot at a wooden bird attached to a high pole, attempting to knock down its parts. The player who successfully knocks down the last decisive piece, causing the entire bird to fall, is the winner.
Setup
- Playing Field: Set up the wooden bird on a tall pole, ensuring it's securely attached.
- Materials: An artificial crossbow or similar shooting instrument with bolts.
- Participants: Each participant draws a number to determine the shooting order.
Gameplay
- Establish Order: Players take turns shooting at the wooden bird.
- Goal: Successfully shoot down a part of the bird. The bird may consist of several parts such as wings, head, tail, etc.
- Rules:
- Each player gets one shot per round.
- If a player hits a wooden part and it falls, it counts.
- Players continue to take turns until a complete part is shot down.
Special Situations
- Tie: If no player manages to shoot down a part within the rounds, shooting continues until a player hits.
- Safety: All spectators must maintain a safe distance from the shooting area.
