Objective of the Game
The objective of Top Whipping Game is to keep a special spinning top in motion as long as possible using a whip or string. Players compete against each other to see whose top can spin the longest.

Game Setup
- Find a suitable playing surface that is as flat as possible. A smooth floor works best.
- Determine the playing order of the participants. This can be done by rolling dice or drawing lots.
- Each player receives a top and a whip or string.
Game Flow
- The first player starts the game by using the whip to spin their top. This requires skill to get the right speed and swing.
- The other players follow in the established order.
- Once a player's top begins to wobble and eventually falls over, that player's turn ends.
- Players may use the whip to keep the top spinning while it dances, which requires a combination of technique and timing.
Moves and Rules
- Whip Motion: The whip should be used in a side-to-side motion to gently nudge the top and prolong its spin.
- Timing and Strategy: An early or inaccurate whip motion can throw the top off balance. Players should pay attention to the spinning speed and tilt of the top to determine the right moment to whip.
Winning Conditions
The player whose top spins the longest wins the game. In a multiplayer session, the game can be played over several rounds with victories per round being counted. In the event of a tie, an extra testing round can be played.
