Objective of the Game
Klask is a fast-paced and exciting dexterity game for two players. The goal of the game is to be the first to score six points. Points are scored by getting the ball into the opponent's goal or through specific rule violations by the opponent.
Game Setup
The playing board of Klask is a rectangular wooden surface with a hole at each goal area. Each player controls a magnetized figure (a "Striker") across the playing field using a magnet from underneath.
Components
- 1 rectangular playing board
- 3 white magnetic discs
- 2 player figures (Striker)
- 1 small ball
- 1 additional magnet for movement underneath the board
- Scoreboard for each player
Gameplay
-
Kick-Off: The kick-off is done by the player who lost the previous point. At the start of the game, a coin flip decides which player starts.
-
Alternate Turns: Players slide their figures across the board and try to flick the ball into the opponent's goal. Players can only move their strikers on their half of the table.
-
Scoring Rules: Points are awarded in the following situations:
- Goal: The ball is played into the opponent's hole.
- Two Klask: The opponent misses a "Klask" – their figure ends up in their own hole.
- White Magnets: Two or three white magnets stick to the opponent.
-
Loss of Figure: The opponent loses the magnetic connection and their figure falls off the board.
-
Klask: This situation describes a player who moves their figure into their own goal hole, resulting in an automatic point for the other player.
-
Game Flow: After each point, play resumes by the player who did not score. The magnets and the ball are reset to their starting positions.
-
End of the Game: Once a player scores six points, the game ends and that player wins.
Strategy and Tips
- Practice Dexterity: Mastering control over the striker is crucial.
- Magnet Tactics: Try using the position of the white magnets to your advantage, causing the opponent to gain a point through attachment.
- Defense and Offense: Balance between offensive play to score goals and defensive play to maintain control of the board and magnets.
Klask is a fun game that requires quick reflexes and tactical thinking. Enjoy the game!
