Objective of the Game
Jungle Speed is a fast-paced reaction game where players try to be the first to get rid of all their cards. The player who discards all their cards first wins the game.
Game Components
- 1 Totem: A wooden stick placed in the center of the play area.
- 80 Cards: Each card has a symbol in one of four colors. Some cards have identical symbols but different colors.
Setup
- Place the Totem in the center of the table, accessible to all players.
- Shuffle the cards thoroughly.
- Deal the cards evenly among all players so that each has a face-down stack.
Gameplay
- Players take turns, in clockwise order, to flip a card from their deck and place it face up on a personal discard pile.
- When two cards with identical symbols (regardless of color) are visible, a Duel occurs:
- The two players whose cards match must quickly grab the Totem.
- The faster player wins the duel, and the slower one must place all the cards from his discard pile and the opponent's onto his face-down stack.
- Special Cards:
- „Arrow in all directions“: Every player must flip a new card simultaneously.
- „Color Change“: Only cards of the same color can trigger a duel, until the condition changes again.
- If a player makes a mistake (e.g., grabs the totem too early or loses in the duel), they must take penalty cards from the opponents' discard piles.
- The game ends when one player has transferred all cards to their discard pile.
Special Rules and Strategies
- Beware of Color Differences: Many symbols are very similar, but the color may differ. Be cautious with the Color Change.
- Distraction: Use the graphic similarity of the cards to confuse your opponents and lead them into errors.
- Quick Reflexes are key! Practice moving your hand instinctively towards the totem as soon as a duel starts.
Number of Players
Jungle Speed can be played with 2 to 10 players. It is ideal for larger groups and can create high adrenaline situations.
Summary
Jungle Speed is an easy-to-learn game that is fun and engaging for everyone at the table. Quick decisions, attention, and reflexes are essential for success.
