Tarantel Tango

Objective of the Game

The aim of Tarantel Tango is to be the first player to get rid of all of your cards.

90 playing cards in 5 different colors. Each color is illustrated with different animals.

Shuffle: Thoroughly shuffle all the cards.
Deal: Each player receives an equal number of cards, which are placed face down in front of them as their draw stack.
Starting Card: A random card is placed face up in the center of the table.

Round Start: The player who can dance the best (or is randomly chosen) starts.
Playing Cards: The active player places a card from their hand face down on the card in the center and announces the name of the animal depicted on their card, e.g., "Monkey" or "Spider".
Match: If the color of the card matches the color of the card in the center (or the player announces this), all players must immediately react according to the new card's instructions, such as dancing, clapping, or another action. Otherwise, the next turn proceeds.
Mistake Penalty: If a player reacts incorrectly or too late, they must draw two penalty cards from their draw stack.

Special Action for Spider: Whenever a spider card (regardless if stated correctly only the animal) is played, all players must immediately stand up and perform a spider dance.
Bluffing: A player can attempt to bluff by intentionally naming the wrong animal. If someone notices the bluff, they can shout "Bluff".
If a legitimate bluff is exposed, the bluffing player must draw five penalty cards.
Called wrongly and not bluffed? The accusing player draws five cards.

The game ends when a player has gotten rid of all their cards. This player is declared the winner.

Bluff Wisely: Use bluffing to get rid of your cards faster, but avoid getting too many penalty cards.
Attention and Speed: Pay attention and react quickly to color changes to avoid penalty cards.
