Objective
The objective of Bausack is to build the tallest tower possible using the available building blocks without it collapsing. Bausack combines elements of dexterity and strategy, challenging players to use both creative thinking and fine motor skills.
Game Materials
- A sack filled with various wooden blocks of irregular shapes.
- Wooden chips or coins to represent building points.
Setup
- Each player receives an equal amount of building points.
- All building blocks are dumped out of the sack into the center of the table. There are no "standard" shapes; the shapes are varied and unusual.
- Decide on a game mode. Two common versions are "Auction Game" and "Classic Building Experience."
Gameplay
Auction Game
- Players take turns bidding on individual blocks using their building points. The highest bidder wins the block and must place it on their tower.
- If a player does not want a block, they can pass. If all players pass, the block is set aside.
- The player whose tower is the tallest at the end or remains standing when all points are spent wins.
Classic Building Experience
- Each player takes turns drawing a block from the sack and adding it to their tower.
- A player's tower must stand on its own.
- If a tower collapses, it should be decided whether the player is eliminated or can rebuild. This rule should be set before the game starts.
- The player with the tallest tower or the player whose tower stands the longest wins.
Strategic Tips
- Focus on building stable foundations for your tower before attempting to go higher.
- Weigh the risk of selecting difficult-to-place blocks.
- Observe your opponents' towers to learn from their tactics or exploit their weaknesses.
Bausack requires both luck and skill, providing high replayability due to its numerous playing possibilities and variations.
