Objective of the Game
The objective of "Chase the Black Man" is to avoid being caught and to be the last player captured, ultimately becoming the winner. It is a tag game, popular with children, that requires plenty of room for running.
Materials Needed
No special materials are required for this game. It only requires enough space to run, preferably outdoors or in a large room.
Setup

Define the play area: Determine a designated area where the game will be played. This should be clearly marked and provide ample space for players to run.

Role Assignment: One player is chosen to be the "black man". The remaining players are the "runners".
Gameplay

Starting Position: The runners line up at one end of the play area, while the black man stands at the opposite end.

Start Signal: The black man calls out "Who's afraid of the black man?" and the runners respond "Nobody!" Then, the black man asks: "And when he comes?", to which the runners shout "We run!"

Chasing: After the start signal, the runners try to reach the opposite end of the play area without being caught by the black man.

Capture: Each player caught by the black man also becomes a black man and helps to catch the remaining runners.

End of the Game: The game ends when all runners have been caught. The last player caught can either become the black man in the next round, or the game ends without additional rounds.
Strategic Tips
- Avoid Corners: Don't linger too long at corners or edges of the play area; it's easier to get caught there.
- Speed and Deception: Use feints and quick turns to escape the black man.
- Teamwork: Beginners can coordinate with fellow runners to distract the black man.
Special Rules
- Safe Zone: Optionally, a "safe zone" can be defined where runners cannot be caught.
- It's important that all players adhere to fair play rules. The black man should not capture anyone unfairly by pushing or pulling.
