Objective of the Game
Hide and Seek is one of the oldest and simplest children's games, played by at least two players. One player closes their eyes and counts to a specified number while the other players hide. The counter then seeks to find all hidden players.
Setup
- Number of Players: At least 2 players, no upper limit.
- Playing Field: The game can be played indoors or outdoors. A clear area should be designated where hiding is allowed.
Rules

Choosing the Seeker: First, a player is chosen to be the Seeker. This can be done randomly, by choice, or through a game or procedure such as counting-out rhymes.

Counting: The seeker closes their eyes and counts out loud to a predetermined number, e.g., 20. Meanwhile, the other players hide.

Hiding: The hiding players must try to hide in such a way that the seeker cannot easily find them. This can be behind furniture, trees, or in or behind other objects.

Seeking: After the seeker has finished counting, they shout "Ready or not, here I come!" and then begin to search for the hidden players.

Catching: When the seeker finds a player, they must call out their name (if known) or tag them to mark the player as found.

Winning: The seeker's goal is to find all the hiding players. The first found player might be the next seeker in the new round.
Strategies

Choosing a Hiding Spot: A good hiding spot is one that is hard to see but still allows for a good view of the immediate area to relocate if necessary.

Silence: Stealth and quietness are important. The less noise a player makes while hiding, the harder it is for the seeker to find them.

Watching the Seeker: If possible, players should try to observe the seeker and anticipate their movements to potentially change or optimize their location.
Variants

Flash Hide and Seek: The seeker only counts to a small number, like 5 or 10, to make the game quicker.

Return to Base: To add some more excitement, hidden players must sneak back to the starting point without being noticed while the seeker is searching.
This game requires no special equipment and fosters creativity and strategic thinking among players.
