Objective of the Game
Stacking Ravens is a fun dexterity game where players attempt to stack as many raven figures as possible without the tower collapsing. The objective is to be the player who stacked the most ravens successfully without causing the tower to fall.
Game Components
- Several raven figures that can be stacked. These can be made of wood, plastic, or another sturdy material.
- A starting pedestal where the first raven is placed.
Setup
- Place the starting pedestal in the center of the table.
- Distribute the raven figures evenly among the players or leave them in a pile within reach of all players.
Gameplay
- The youngest player starts the game, then it continues clockwise.
- On your turn, take a raven figure from your supply and carefully place it on the tower being built on the starting pedestal.
- Each player may only use one hand to touch the tower when adding their raven.
- Ravens must be placed to keep the tower stable. Creativity is encouraged as long as the tower remains upright.
- Once a player has successfully placed a raven, the next player takes their turn.
- If, during a player's turn, one or more ravens fall, the player's turn ends immediately.
Ending the Game
The game ends when either: - A player during their turn causes more than half of the tower to fall. This player loses, and the previous player is declared the winner. - All ravens have been successfully stacked. In this case, the player who placed the last raven wins.
Strategic Tips
- Try to distribute weight evenly to keep the tower stable.
- Carefully observe the structure of the tower before making your move, and plan where the next raven can be safely placed.
- Sometimes placing the raven more cautiously, even if it takes longer, is wiser than risking the tower collapsing.
