Objective of the Game

The objective of "Stadt Land Fluss" is to quickly think of words belonging to various categories that start with a specific letter in order to score points.

Game Materials

• Paper and pen for each player
• A predefined list of categories (e.g., city, country, river, animal, occupation, etc.)

Game Setup

1. Number of Players: At least two players.
2. Each player receives a sheet of paper and a pen.
3. Draw a column on your sheet for each chosen category.

How to Play

1. Determine the letter: One player or the group leader starts reciting the alphabet out loud while another says "stop." The stopped letter is the letter with which all terms in this round must begin.
2. Find terms: All players try to write down relevant terms for each category as quickly as possible, starting with the given letter.
3. Stop the round: As soon as one player fills in their list completely, they call out "done," and everyone else must stop writing.
4. Award points:
   • 10 points if the term is unique (i.e., no other player has the same term).
   • 5 points if multiple players have the same term.
   • 0 points if a field is left blank.
   • Points are noted down, and a new letter is chosen for the next round.

End of the game

The game usually ends after a predefined number of rounds have been played or after a set amount of playtime. The player with the most points wins.

Strategic Tips:

• Speed: Try to first write down easy terms before moving to more complex ones. This saves time and secures quick points.
• Variety in categories: If one category is difficult, focus on categories that are easier for you.
• Knowledge and trivia: Use general knowledge and association to quickly find terms.
