Objective
Warmachine/Hordes is a tabletop miniature wargame where players assume the role of powerful warlords controlling armies in epic battles. The objective is to defeat the opposing warlord or achieve specific mission goals to win.
Game Materials
- Miniatures: Each army is represented by a collection of miniatures, including a Warcaster or Warlock, Warjacks or Warbeasts, and units of infantry and support.
- Playing field: A typical playing area is about 4x4 feet, containing different terrains like forests, hills, or buildings.
- Dice: Six-sided dice (D6) determine attacks and other actions.
- Stat cards: Each unit has a card depicting its stats and abilities.
Basic Rules

- Maintenance Phase: Resolve upkeep effects, allocate focus or fury.
- Control Phase: Gather focus or fury, gain spells.

Activation Phase: Activating each unit to perform actions such as movement, attack, or special abilities.

Movement and Terrain: Units move according to their speed stats. Terrain may affect movement or provide cover.

- Melee Attacks: Roll against an enemy's defense using the model's melee attack stat.
- Ranged Attacks: Use the ranged attack stat and roll against the target's defense.

Damage Resolution: Successful hits add damage rolls; target armor may reduce damage.

- Warmachine: Warcasters use focus for casting spells or boosting Warjacks.
