Objective

Infinity the Game is a tabletop skirmish game set in a futuristic setting. The objective of the game is to fulfill various mission objectives in different scenarios by conducting tactical battles against your opponent. Players control uniquely configured groups of miniatures, which they maneuver over a terrain to occupy strategic positions and achieve their missions.

Game Components

• Miniatures: Each faction has its own miniatures with different stats and abilities.
• Dice: Twenty-sided dice (D20) are used for attack and defense rolls.
• Measuring tools: For measuring movement and weapon range.
• Terrain pieces: Modular pieces for a dynamic game board that is different every time.
• Rulebook: A comprehensive set of rules covering all possible game mechanics and rules.

Setup and Preparation

1. Prepare Terrain: Players agree on a suitable battlefield and set the terrain on it to create cover and tactical possibilities.
2. Army Setup: Each player sets up their army. Armies are set according to the point values of the selected units.
3. Determine Initiative: Both players roll to determine initiative. The winner chooses who starts first.

Gameplay

The game is executed in turn phases, consisting of the following parts:

1. Orders Phase

• Players receive orders based on their army size, which they use to activate their units.
• Orders can be used for movements, attacks, or special actions like hacking or healing.

2. Movement Phase

• Units can strategically move across the board based on their movement range.

3. Combat Phase

• Players can attack opponents by rolling to determine shooting or melee attack results. Unit statistics, cover, and range modifiers influence the success.

4. Retreat and Reaction

• Units can take cover or attempt to retreat based on the game situation and the decisions made.

Winning Conditions

Each scenario has its own mission objectives, such as holding marker points, eliminating specific enemy units, or reaching certain areas of the battlefield. The player who fulfills the mission objectives first or most effectively wins the game.
