Objective
Mein rechter, rechter Platz is a simple and fun game for larger groups, often played among children. The objective is to have fun and get the participants moving.
Setup
- You need at least 6 players, more is better.
- Form a circle and sit down.
- Arrange it so that there is one free spot in the circle.
Gameplay
- One person, let's call them the starting player, begins. They sit to the left of the free spot.
- The starting player taps the empty spot next to them and says: "My right, right place is free, I wish to have [name of a person in the circle] here!"
- The named person gets up and sits in the empty space.
- The spot that the person has vacated is now the new free spot.
- The player now sitting to the left of this new free spot continues by repeating the words and calling another person to the free spot.
Strategic Tips
- If you can, try to strategically pick someone sitting farther away to keep the game dynamic.
- You can also choose to call out quickly to create a lively momentum.
Variations
- Name Round: For smaller groups to learn each other's names.
- Costume: In events like birthday parties, players can wear funny hats or glasses that they pass on during seat changes.
The game continues until everyone has had fun or the group decides to end the game.
