Objective of the Game
The objective of Ticayo is to balance the ball using various tricks as many times as possible on the cup. Depending on the variation of the game, it might also involve reaching a set point score or completing a series of tricks successfully.
Game Components
- A Ticayo consists of a wooden handle and a ball connected by a string.
Basic Rules

Setup: Each player receives a Ticayo. It is decided who begins and in which order the players will take their turns.

Gameplay: The player tries to balance the ball on different parts of the Ticayo. The basic skill is to use a quick, upward movement to catch the ball in the cup.

Scoring: Different tricks earn different points. A successful catch of the ball in the cup, for instance, gives 1 point. More complex tricks can earn more points.

Rounds: Play in rounds, with the player having the most points at the end of the game being the winner.
Special Variations
- Time Limit: Each player has a set amount of time to score as many points as possible.
- Trick Sequence: A sequence of tricks is predetermined, which must be performed in a particular order.
- Cooperation: Players can also try to achieve a particularly difficult sequence together.
Strategic Tips
- Concentration: Constant concentration is crucial to maintain balance and recognize the right moment to catch the ball.
- Practice: Over time, movements become more precise and the chances of achieving more complex tricks increase.
