Objective of the Game
In Illusion, the objective of the players is to arrange colors on cards in the correct order according to their percentage content. The game challenges your ability to estimate how much of a specific color appears on a card.
Components
- 98 cards: Each card displays a pattern in different colors (red, yellow, blue, green).
- 12 direction cards: These indicate which color should be sorted in the current round.
Setup
- Shuffle the cards and place them in a stack face down in the center of the table.
- Place the direction cards as a stack as well.
- Each round begins with a new direction card placed face up in the middle.
Game Play
- Draw a direction card: The top direction card indicates the color to be considered during the round.
- Sequence Arrangement: The first player draws the top card from the stack and places it face up on the table.
- The next player draws another card and decides whether it should be placed before or after the previously placed card, based on the amount of the relevant color.
- Each subsequent card must be placed in corresponding order.
- If a player places a card without doubting, the next player draws the following card.
- Doubt: Instead of placing a card, a player can decide the current sequence is incorrect. If doubts are expressed, the order is checked:
- The percentages of the color on the card backs are revealed.
- If the sequence is correct, the next player gets a point.
- If the sequence is wrong, the player who doubted gets the point.
Winning the Game
The game ends when all direction cards have been played and the player with the most points wins.
Strategic Tips
- Attention: Carefully watch the color ratios and try to get a clear idea of the patterns.
- Memory: Remember the ratios revealed in previous rounds to improve your estimating capability in subsequent rounds.
