Instructions Arschloch

Objective of the Game:

The objective of the game Arschloch (which translates to "Asshole") is to be the first player to get rid of all their cards. At the end of each round, players are ranked based on the order of losing all their cards. The last player with cards remaining is the Asshole, while the first to shed all cards is the President. This hierarchy is used to determine privileges in the next round.

Prerequisites:

• Deck of Cards: A standard 52-card deck. Two decks can be combined for more than 6 players.

Basic Rules:

1. Dealing Cards: All cards are dealt evenly to players.
2. Card Ranking: Ace is the highest, and Two is the lowest card.
3. Starting the Game: The player with the lowest card begins the game.
4. Gameplay:
   1. The starting player plays one or more cards of the same rank.
   2. Subsequent players must play the same number of cards but of a higher rank, or pass.
   3. Example: If the starting player plays "3", the next player can play "4" or higher.
5. End of Round: When all players pass in succession, the round ends. The last player to lay down cards starts the next round.

Special Rules and Strategies:

• Sequences: Players can play sequences of at least three cards of the same rank (e.g., three 5's). A higher sequence may beat it (e.g., four 6's).
• Multi-Card Play: Players can play multiple cards of the same rank to block their opponents' moves.
• Passing: If a player has no card to play or chooses not to play, they can pass.
• Strategic Tip: Keep good cards until the right moment to win plays and surprise opponents.

Hierarchical Order for Next Round:

• The winner of a round becomes the President.
• Second place becomes the Vice President.
• Second last becomes the Vice Asshole.
• Last place is the Asshole.

Additional Features:

• Card Exchange: Before the new round begins, the Asshole must give their two best cards to the President and in return receive two of the President's worst cards.
• Game Variants: There are numerous house variants that include additional rules such as special privileges for the President or penalties for the Asshole.
