Objective of the Game

Speed Cards is a fast-paced and exciting card game where the main aim is to get rid of all the cards in your stack as quickly as possible. Players play simultaneously, which makes speed and reflexes crucial.

Setup

• Number of Players: 2 players
• Deck: A standard 52-card deck without Jokers.

Setup Steps

1. Shuffle the deck thoroughly.
2. Each player receives 20 cards, placed face-down in front of them. This is their personal "draw pile."
3. Using the remaining cards, create two stacks of 5 cards laid out face-up in the center of the table. These are the "discard piles."

How the Game is Played

**Important Note: All actions are performed simultaneously.**

Gameplay Steps

1. Each player flips over the top cards of their draw pile into their "hand". Initially, you can have up to 5 cards in hand, and whenever cards are discarded, they must immediately be replenished from the draw pile, up to a maximum of 5 cards, or as many as you have left.
2. Pay attention to the two face-up cards in the middle (the discard piles). They determine which of your hand cards can be played.
3. A card can only be played if its rank is one higher or lower than the card on the discard pile. For example, a 7 can be followed by a 6 or an 8.
4. Once you've played a card, immediately draw a new card from your draw pile to your hand.
5. This process repeats until one player has no cards left in their hand or draw pile.

Special Rules

• There are no turns or pauses. Speed is key; play as fast as you can!
• When no further moves can be made on the discard piles, the game is paused, and each player draws the top card from their draw pile to reset the discard piles again.

Game End

The game ends when one player has no cards left. This player is the winner.

Strategic Tips

• Focus on keeping an eye on the center and spotting new possible moves.
• Practice drawing and discarding fast. Hand-eye coordination is crucial.
