Objective of the Game
Tempeln is an exciting race game where players assume the roles of adventurers trying to be the first to reach the treasure in the temple, while avoiding traps and obstacles.
Materials
- A game board with a path leading to the temple
- Player tokens for each participant
- A deck of obstacle and event cards
- A six-sided die (D6)
Setup
- Each player selects a token and places it on the starting position on the game board.
- Shuffle the obstacle and event cards and place them face down next to the board.
- Decide randomly which player goes first.
Gameplay
The game proceeds in a clockwise direction. Each player's turn includes the following steps:
- Roll the Die: The player rolls the D6 die and moves their token the corresponding number of spaces.
- Check the Space: If the player's token lands on a special space, effects may be triggered:
- Event Space: Draw the top card from the deck and execute the event described. Events can be beneficial (e.g., extra turns, disarming traps) or detrimental (e.g., move back one space, lose a turn).
- Trap Space: If the token lands on a trap space, the player may attempt to roll to escape the trap. Rolling a 4-6 allows escape and the player remains on the space. Rolling a 1-3 requires the player to move back one space.
- Reaching the Treasure: A player wins the game by being the first to reach the treasure at the end of the path.
Winning the Game
The winner is the first player to reach the treasure space in the temple.
