Gameplay
The game is played in rounds consisting of different phases:
-

-
Movement Phase: Players roll dice to determine the movement of their units. Movement is limited by the type of unit and the dice roll.
-
Combat Phase: When opposing units are within range, combat occurs. The outcomes are determined by another dice roll. The units' strength influences the results.
-
Terrain Bonus: Units in a forest or on raised ground, for example, receive an additional defense bonus.
-
Event Phase: In this phase, players draw event cards that can influence the game, such as weather conditions or temporary reinforcements.
Winning Conditions
The game ends when one of the following conditions is met: - One player's army is completely defeated. - One party reaches a strategically important position on the board and holds it for a set number of turns.
Strategic Considerations
- Troop Management: Balancing offense and defense is crucial. Protect your units while putting pressure on the opponent.
- Use of Terrain: Take advantage of the terrain! Certain terrain types offer defensive advantages or limit movement.
- Effective Use of Event Cards: These cards can turn the tide. Using them wisely at the right time can make a crucial difference.
