Objective of the Game
The objective of Twin it! is to be the player or team with the most correctly matched pairs of cards by the end of the game. A pair consists of two cards showing the same pattern.
Game Components
- Cards with over 100 unique patterns
Setup
- Depending on the number of players, shuffle the card deck that corresponds to the game.
- Distribute the cards evenly among all players. In multiplayer mode, you can simply use one deck.
- Each player places their cards as a face-down stack in front of them on the table.
How to Play
Twin it! is played in rounds.
- All players simultaneously turn over the top card of their stack and place it in the middle of the table. A portion of the card pattern should remain visible.
- Key Goal: Players must quickly spot two cards with identical patterns. The first player to spot a pair calls out "Twin it!" and taps the two cards.
- Mind Challenge!: If the player is correct, they can take the pair and place it in their point stack. If they are wrong, they must return one of their collected pairs to the middle as a penalty.
- The gameplay continues: Each player turns over another card and tries to spot new pairs.
Special Rules
- Game Pause: A player cannot take longer than 3 seconds to claim a pair. Hesitating too long could result in an unintended error.
- Team Play: The game can be played in teams, where team members can help each other spot card pairs quickly.
Game End and Winning
The game ends once no more cards can be turned over. The player or team with the most card pairs wins.
