Objective of the Game
The goal of Rosbiratschka is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards. The game is easy to learn and is a great quick card game for in-between.
Materials Needed
- A Standard Deck of Cards (52 cards) without jokers.
- A minimum of 2 players, no maximum, depending on desired fun and patience.
Rules
- Dealing Cards:
- One player is designated as the dealer and shuffles the deck.
-
The cards are dealt evenly to all players. If there is an uneven number of players or cards don't divide equally, some players may get one more card.
-
Discarding Cards:
- The player to the left of the dealer starts by placing a card face down in front of themself and declaring out loud which rank (e.g., Queen or 5) it supposedly is.
-
Following players in the clockwise order must also place a card of the same rank or bluff.
-
Call Bluff:
- Any player can contest the honesty of another player's discarded card(s).
- They say "Call Bluff!", and the player must reveal their card(s).
-
If the player was not honest, they must take all the previously played cards into their hand. If they were truthful, the doubting player must take these cards.
-
Game Flow:
- Play continues in the same manner with the next round.
-
It's optional to call a bluff in a round, but this increases the chance for other players to bluff successfully.
-
End of the Game:
- The game ends when a player runs out of cards. This player is the winner.
Strategic Tips
- Bluffing: This is an essential part of the game. Be bold but cautious, so your bluffs don't become too obvious.
- Doubt: Calling a bluff at critical points, such as when a player often bluffs or tries to offload their cards quickly, can be advantageous.
- Observation: Keep an eye on which cards have been played or which bluffs have worked, to make strategic decisions.
Have fun and good luck with your game of Rosbiratschka!
