Tipp-Kick
Objective of the Game
The objective of Tipp-Kick is to score more goals than your opponent. It is a tabletop football game that pits two players against each other. Each player controls a team consisting of a goalkeeper and an outfield player.
Game Materials
- 1 fabric field with field markings
- 2 Tipp-Kick figures (outfield players) in different colors
- 2 goalkeepers with holders
- 1 two-colored ball: one half white, one half black
- 2 goals
- Optionally timekeeper and scoreboard
Setup
- Set up the field: The green fabric field is laid on a table or flat surface, with a goal at each end.
- Each player selects a playing figure and a goalkeeper.
- The ball is placed in the center of the field.
Gameplay
- Kick-off: The ball is put into play by pressing the head of the field player. A toss determines which player gets the first kick-off. After a goal, the players alternate kick-offs.
- Playing Rounds: The current player tries to shoot the ball into the opponent's goal. The player figure is activated by pressing the lever, which kicks the ball. The ball's direction depends on how the figure is oriented and which side of the ball is hit.
- Change of Ball Possession: After each shot, possession of the ball switches to the other player.
- Goal Attempts and Goalkeeper Movement: The goalkeeper can be freely moved along the goal line. Despite simple control, timing and skill are crucial.
- Halves: A match is played over two halves. The length of each half can be agreed upon by players, typically 5 minutes per half.
End of the Game
The game ends after the agreed playing time. The player with the most goals wins. If the game is tied, extra time or a penalty shootout can be played.
Strategic Tips
- Ball Control: Always try to maintain a good shooting position. Use control in every ball contact.
- Move the Goalkeeper: Keep your goalkeeper in motion to confuse the opponent.
- Tactical Shooting: Aim so that you can control the ball even if you miss the goal.
- Continue Play After Ball Change: Act quickly to capture the ball before the opponent can properly position themselves.
Tipp-Kick is a fast and exciting game that is simple yet requires a lot of practice and tactical skill.
