StarCraft – The Board Game

Objective: In "StarCraft – The Board Game", players take control of one of six factions from the "StarCraft" universe and compete for dominance throughout the sector. The primary objective is to control planets, destroy enemy bases, and ultimately win through victory points (VP) or achieve specific mission objectives.

Components: - A modular board made up of planet placards - Multiple command card decks for each faction - Unit and building miniatures - Resource tokens - Technology upgrades - Event cards and special mission cards

Setup: 1. Each player selects a faction (Terran, Protoss, or Zerg) and takes the corresponding components. 2. The planet placards are either randomly or preset-assembled into a playable sector. 3. Each player places their starting bases and units according to their faction sheet's build guidelines. 4. Resources and cards are prepared and distributed.

Gameplay: The game is played over several rounds, divided into the following phases: 1. Planning Phase: Players secretly place orders on the planet fields. These orders are tasks that will be carried out covertly. 2. Action Phase: The orders are executed. Each order allows building new units, collecting resources, moving troops, or attacking enemy units. 3. Regeneration Phase: Players gain new resources based on controlled planets and can repair damage or train new units.

Orders: - Build: Construct new buildings or produce new units. - Mobilize: Move troops from one planet to another. - Research: Enables technology upgrades and capabilities.

Combat: - Battles are decided by comparing unit strength, factoring in unit abilities, defense positions, and surprise bonuses. - Dice are used to determine outcomes during combat.

End of Game and Winning Conditions: The game ends when a mission is fulfilled or victory points are reached. Numerical goals, such as control of most planets, destroyed headquarters, or technological breakthroughs, are critical.

Strategic Tips: - Resources Management: Monitor and plan carefully to ensure you have sufficient resources at key moments. - Use Special Abilities: Be sure to utilize each faction's unique abilities effectively for tactical advantages. - Diplomatic Capability: Form temporary alliances to engage strong opponents elsewhere in the game but be prepared to break them when strategically feasible.

"StarCraft – The Board Game" offers a deep strategic experience with high replayability, ideal for players seeking challenges in a sci-fi military setting.
