Objective of the Game
Imagine is a guessing game where players use transparent cards to provide clues for words, phrases, or titles. The goal is to guess as many terms as possible and collect the most points.
Game Components
- 61 Transparent Cards featuring various symbols, shapes, and objects.
- 65 Riddle Cards with eight terms each.
- 35 Token Points.
- An optional hourglass-like time limit can be used to add excitement.
Game Setup
- Players sit around the table in a circle.
- The transparent cards are spread out in the center of the table, within easy reach of all players.
- The riddle cards are shuffled and placed in a stack.
Gameplay
- One player is chosen to be the first Clue Giver. They draw a Riddle Card and select one of the terms on it for the other players to guess.
- The clue giver uses the transparent cards to represent the term. These cards can be overlapped, placed side by side, or moved around. Note: The clue giver may not provide verbal clues, except to indicate the category if stated on the riddle card.
- The other players attempt to guess the term. The player who correctly guesses receives a point in the form of a token.
- The clue giver for this round also receives a point if at least one player guesses the term correctly.
- The next player in clockwise order becomes the new clue giver, and the game continues with a new riddle card.
End of the Game
The game ends once all players have taken turns as a clue giver for a set number of rounds, or when the riddle deck is exhausted. The player with the most tokens wins.
Strategic Tips
- Creativity is Key: Use the ambiguity and combinability of the transparent cards creatively to visualize difficult terms.
- Mind the Categories: Sometimes the given categories can provide useful hints for the guessers.
- Think in Layers: Utilize the possibility of three-dimensional representations (overlapping the cards) to create new symbols or meanings.
Special Rules
- Players may not give any verbal hints, sounds, or cues.
- The transparent cards can be used in any combination as long as they provide visually interpretable clues.
- Players can decide to limit guessing time using an hourglass to make the game more thrilling.
