-
Playing tricks: In Niedriger Türke, the player to the left of the dealer plays the first card, and the other players must follow suit. The following rules apply:
- There is a follow suit rule: Players must follow the same suit if possible.
- If a player cannot follow suit, they can play a trump (Turkish) or discard any other card.
- The player who plays the highest card of the suit led or the highest trump wins the trick and leads the next trick.
-
Counting tricks: Each trick counts as exactly one point. The goal is to collect as few tricks as possible.
-
Ending the round: Once all cards have been played, the round ends. Each player counts their won tricks and records the points.
End of the Game
The game can be played over several rounds. A typical match ends when a player reaches a predetermined score or after a set number of rounds. The player with the lowest score wins the game.
Strategic Tips
- Misleading Moves: Try to play a different suit early to confuse opponents and mislead them about your hand.
- Save the Trump Cards: Use your trump cards strategically to avoid taking tricks or to win necessary tricks.
- Switch Initiative: Control when you win tricks to avoid being in situations where you might gain many points.
By planning well and observing cards that have been played, you can adjust your strategy and try to collect as few points as possible.
Special Features
- Flexible Scoring System: The number of tricks can be assigned a small multiplier to make for a longer or more strategically demanding game.
This game requires good memory and strategic thinking to keep the number of collected points minimal while paying attention to the moves of other players.
