Objective of the Game
In Quarriors!, the goal is to be the first player to reach a certain number of Glory points: 20 points for a four-player game, 15 for a three-player game, and 12 for a two-player game.
Game Components
- Dice: The main components of the game, divided into various types representing creatures, spells, or resources.
- Cards: Represent the abilities and properties of each dice type. Each card has its own text descriptions and cost.
Game Setup
- Prepare Dice: Each player starts with 12 standard dice (8 Assistant Dice and 4 Spellbook Dice).
- Dice Draw Pool: Remaining dice are organized into piles according to the instructions and cards provided and placed in the center.
- Set Up Cards: Randomly draw one card per type (creature, spell) and place it next to the corresponding dice on the table.
Game Flow
The game is played in rounds, with each round consisting of five phases:
- Draw: Draw six dice from your dice bag.
- Roll: Roll all drawn dice.
- Ready Phase: Use rolled resources to summon creatures and apply spells. Send creatures into the "active pool."
- Attack: All creatures in the active pool attack opponents' creatures simultaneously. Creatures with a defense value equal to or higher than your attack value survive.
- Capture: Acquire new dice from the dice supply using resources that were not spent on summoning this turn.
Glory Phase
- Held at the end of the round.
- Each player earns Glory points for each of their creatures that survives until the next turn.
End of the Game
The first player to achieve the required number of Glory points wins the game.
Strategic Tips
- Balancing attack and defense is crucial. You might either go heavily offensive quickly or take a defensive measure to accumulate points over several turns.
- Customize dice purchases to align with your playing style. Creatures with specific abilities could be pivotal to your strategy.
- Don't leave the creation of your "army" to chance; carefully choose which dice to buy.
