Objective of the Game:
Valley of the Vikings is an engaging tactical board game where players aim to collect the most gold coins. Each player takes on the role of a Viking participating in the annual barrel knocking competition, seeking glory and wealth for their village.
Game Components:
- 1 game board
- 4 Viking ships (player tokens)
- 8 Viking flags
- 24 gold coins
- 4 player tiles
- 4 cannonballs (balls)
- 1 cardboard cannon
Setup:
- Place the game board in the center of the table.
- Position the Viking ships at the starting point for each player.
- Place the gold coins next to the game board as a reserve.
- Each player chooses a player tile and takes the corresponding Viking ship.
Gameplay:
The game is played in rounds. Each round consists of two phases:
Phase 1: Barrel Knocking
- Objective: Knock over the barrels with the cannonball.
- The active player places the cardboard cannon at the edge of the board and shoots the ball onto the field to knock over barrels.
- The players whose colored flags are hit can move their ships forward on the board.
Phase 2: Collecting Booty
- Get Gold: When a player lands on a space with a flag, they perform an action depicted on that flag:
- Receive gold: Take a coin from the reserve.
- Steal gold: Take a coin from another player.
- Redistribute gold: Evenly distribute the coins on other players' Viking tiles.
- Players affected by the barrel knock can move their ships to collect more gold or to strategically change positions.
Special Features:
- Planning and Tactics: Try to plan moves that will earn you the most coins in the following rounds.
- Interaction: Be cautious about whom you give coins to or steal coins from, as this can create new adversaries.
End of the Game:
The game ends when the coin reserve is exhausted. The player with the most coins wins the game.

- Practice Aiming: Skillful handling of the ball is crucial. Practice shooting for more accurate hits.
