Objective of the Game
Kugellabyrinth, or "Maze Ball," is a dexterity game where the main goal is to skillfully navigate a small metal ball through an inclined labyrinth using two knobs. The objective is to guide the ball to the finish point without falling into any of the numerous trap holes.
Game Components
- A rectangular wooden bed with an encased labyrinth and trap holes
- Two knobs that tilt the board in two directions
- A small metal ball
Setup
- Place the game board on a flat surface.
- Ensure the ball is positioned at the starting point of the labyrinth.
- Players determine the order in which they will attempt to guide the ball through the labyrinth.
Gameplay
- A player takes hold of the game board, carefully turning the two knobs.
- One knob tilts the board left and right, the other forwards and backwards.
- The goal is to guide the ball from start to finish by skillfully tilting the board.
- Traps are evenly distributed throughout the labyrinth. If the ball falls into a hole, the attempt ends, and the ball is placed back at the start.
- Players can take turns or try multiple times in succession to set records for the fastest completion.
Strategies and Tips
- Move Slowly: Start with slow movements on the knobs to maintain control over the ball.
- Watch the Ball: Keep a close watch on the ball to react quickly.
- Avoid Known Traps: Try to change tactics if you know a trap is near.
End of the Game
The game ends when the ball successfully reaches the finish of the maze. Players can set records for the fastest time or fewest attempts.
Kugellabyrinth requires patience, skill, and a steady hand to master the challenges of the labyrinth.
