Objective of the Game
Stechvogelschießen ("Target Bird Shooting") is an entertaining board game where players aim to score as many points as possible by hitting target areas, called "Stechvögel", with skill and strategy. The player with the most points at the end wins the game.
Game Components
- A game board with target birds and various point areas marked
- Dice
- Playing pieces for each player
- Scorecard (optional)
Number of Players
- Minimum 2 players, maximum 6 players
Setup
- Players choose their playing pieces and place them on the starting area of the board.
- Players each roll the dice to determine the starting order. The highest roll goes first.
Game Play
- Round Start: The first player starts the round by rolling the dice.
- Movement: Based on the dice roll, the player moves their piece forward. The aim is to land on target bird spaces to score points.
- Scoring: If a player lands on a target bird space, they may roll again. Depending on the dice result, they score points according to the scorecard.
- Strategy: Players choose to take high risks for high-point areas or play it safe for smaller, more secure points.
- Next Turn: After each player's turn, play continues clockwise.
Special Features
- Bonus Spaces: Certain spaces may offer bonuses like extra rolls or points.
- Penalty Points: Some spaces may result in penalty points if a player lands on them.
- End of the Game: The game ends after a predetermined number of rounds or when all target birds have been hit.
Winning
The player with the highest total score at the end of the game is declared the winner.

- Balance: Find the right balance between risk and safety.
- Observation: Keep an eye on how other players approach the targets and adjust your strategy accordingly.
- Planning: Try to plan multiple turns ahead to land on the best spaces and make use of bonus turns.
