Objective
The goal of The Deadlies is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards. You must navigate the Seven Deadly Sins without having your opponents' cards hinder your progress.
Components
- A deck of cards representing the Seven Deadly Sins: Pride, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Greed, Gluttony, and Lust.
- Additional action cards with special abilities.
Setup
- Shuffle the deck and deal seven cards to each player.
- Place the remaining deck in the middle as a draw pile.
- Choose a starting player.
Gameplay
- A player's turn consists of the following phases:
- Draw: If there are no open cards in the center at the start of your turn, draw a card from the deck.
- Discard: Play one or more cards of the same sin or color. If you can't play, end your turn by drawing a card.
- Sin Match: Check if the card you played matches the center card. If so, you may play an additional card.
- Action Cards: Play action cards to influence the game, such as making other players draw, allowing extra play, etc.
- End: Place a card face down in the center to end your turn.
Special Rules
- Wild Cards: These can replace any card and change the color or sin.
- Combos: Play multiple cards to start a chain reaction, forcing opponents to draw cards or skip turns.
- Block: Some action cards can negate or alter the effect of the previous card.
Strategy Tips
- Combine Wisely: Look for opportunities to discard multiple cards at once to quickly reduce your hand size.
- Disrupt Opponents: Use action cards to interfere with your opponents' strategies.
- Stay Flexible: Keep wild cards longer to adapt to opponents' plays.
End of the Game
The game ends immediately when a player has no more cards. That player wins, and the round is scored by evaluating who has the most cards remaining.
