Objective of "Egghead"
The main goal of "Egghead" is to have fun racing against opponents by correctly answering as many trivia questions as possible. Each player or team aims to collect points by correctly answering questions and advancing on the board game path to reach the finish line first.
Game Components
- A game board with designated paths and a finish line.
- Trivia question sets from various knowledge categories (e.g., Nature, History, Entertainment, Science).
- Playing pieces for each participant.
- A six-sided die.
Setup
- Each player selects a playing piece and places it on the start space of the game board.
- The trivia question sets are organized by category and made available.
Gameplay
Turn Sequence: - At the start of each turn, the active player rolls a six-sided die to determine how many spaces to move on the board. - The player advances their playing piece according to the number rolled.
Trivia Round: - Once a player lands on a new space, another player draws a question card from the corresponding category set. - The active player attempts to answer the question. If the answer is correct, the player celebrates the correct trivia round and may gain an additional attempt on the next move. - If the answer is incorrect, the game continues with the next player.
Special Spaces: - The board may have special spaces like "Back to Start" or "Extra Question", which activate according to landing and offer various advantages or disadvantages.
Winning the Game
The game ends when a player correctly answers all the questions or is the first to reach the finish line. This player is declared the winner and hailed as the "Egghead."
Strategic Tips
- Improve Category Knowledge: Players should aim not only to enjoy the game but also to expand their knowledge in various categories to increase their chances of correct answers.
- Aim for Safe Spaces: Different spaces may either benefit or challenge player progression; remembering these could be wise for future turns.
