Objective of the Game
Tri-Ba-Lance is an exciting balance game where players aim to arrange their pieces on the board in such a way that the construction remains as balanced as possible. The winner is the player who manages to get rid of all their pieces first without tipping the construction.
Game Components
- A game board with three balancing arms.
- A selection of pieces in various shapes and weights.
Game Setup
- Place the game board in the middle of the table.
- Each player receives an equal number of pieces.
- Decide who starts the game – for example, by rolling a standard die.
Gameplay
The game is played in several rounds. Players take turns placing a piece on the board. The following rules apply:
- Stack or Balance: Pieces can be stacked or placed on the arms of the balancing device.
- Mind the Weight: Each piece has a weight that affects the construction. Consider where the piece will maintain balance.
- Structure: The entire structure must not tip over or collapse.
- Start at the Bottom: Pieces must be placed on the lowest visible layers first.
Turn Sequence
- The player considers where to place their piece.
- The chosen piece is placed on the board, maintaining balance.
- Other players observe the move critically.
- If a player notices instability, they can challenge the move.
- If the construction becomes unstable, the pieces are redistributed.
- If stable, the move continues.
End of the Game
The game ends when a player has successfully placed all their pieces without the structure collapsing, declaring them the winner.
Strategic Tips
- Plan Ahead: Consider which weights might cause trouble for later players.
- Maintain Balance: A well-balanced board offers fewer attack points for opponents.
- Watch Carefully: Keep an eye on how the structure changes when other players add pieces.
