Objective
In Alles im Eimer, the objective is to defend your bucket tower and be the last player with buckets remaining when the others have all been knocked out.
Components
- 66 playing cards
- 1 die
- 7 differently colored buckets per player
Setup
- Each player builds their bucket tower, consisting of seven different buckets, each in a different color.
- Shuffle the cards well and distribute them evenly among all players.
- Determine a starting player.
Gameplay
The game is played clockwise, with each player performing the following steps during their turn:
1. Playing a Card
The active player selects a card from their hand and places it face-up on the table. Cards come in the colors of the buckets and may include special-effect cards.
2. Rolling the Die
The player rolls the die.
3. Performing an Action
- Standard Cards (Bucket Colors):
- If the chosen card matches the color of a bucket, the next player in sequence must "counter" this color by either playing an equivalent card from their hand or using a defense action.
- Special Cards: can trigger various effects:
- Blockade: Stops the attack without losing one of your buckets.
- Direction Change: The play order is reversed, and the previous player is again the active one.
4. Losing a Bucket
If a player cannot counter the card, they lose a bucket in the corresponding color. These buckets are flipped over and laid down.
Ending the Game
The game ends when only one player has buckets left in their tower. This player is declared the winner.
Strategy Tips
- Always try to keep a card in reserve to counter all possible colors.
- Pay attention to which colors your opponents might no longer be able to counter.
- Use special cards strategically to get out of tight situations or to change directions.
