Objective of the Game
KHG – Korrupte haben Geld is a satirical card game where players take on the roles of lobbyists striving to amass wealth and influence without getting caught. The player with the most wealth and influence at the end of the game wins.
Setup
- Set up the play area: The game doesn’t require a specific board but is played with the included cards and tokens.
- Shuffle the cards: Shuffle the deck and deal the cards evenly among the players.
- Determine the starting player: Choose who starts, e.g., by a random draw.
Game Progression
The game is played over several rounds as follows:
- Playing Influence Cards: Each player may play an influence card. These cards provide advantages like additional actions or direct money.
- Drawing Scandal Cards: In turn, players draw scandal cards. These have various effects and risks. Some scandals provide immediate benefits, while others require strategic decision-making.
- Using Opacity: Players can use one of their opacity cards to block the actions of others or gain additional resources.
Important Rules
- Corruption Markers: Use these markers to track each player's corruption level. The more markers a player has, the higher the risk of being caught.
- Being Exposed: If a player is exposed (having exceeded a certain number of corruption markers), they lose part of their resources.
End of the Game
The game ends after a predetermined number of rounds, or when the card deck is exhausted. The player with the most wealth and influence wins.
Strategic Tips
- Assess Risk: Consider when it's worth taking risks for greater rewards.
- Use Opacity Effectively: Deploy opacity cards strategically to fend off attacks or strike at the right moment.
