Objective of the Game
The aim of Parolenrätsel is to collectively guess a hidden word or phrase as a group by deciphering and strategically using clues.
Game Setup
- Game Materials:
- A set of cards with various words or phrases.
- A sand timer or stopwatch.

Paper and a pencil for notes if needed.

Number of Players:

The game is suitable for at least 3 players.

Setup:
- Place the cards face down in the center of the table.
- Divide players into groups (more than three players for larger groups).
Game Play
- Start of the Round:
- One player draws a card from the deck without revealing it to others.

Start the timer.

Giving Clues:
- The player who drew the card gives clues to describe the word or phrase.

Rules for Clues:
- The term itself must not be mentioned.
- Clues cannot be translations or obvious synonyms.
- Small gestures are allowed but no excessive charade-like performances.

Guessing and Solving:
- The other players in the group now have time to guess the word.

They can ask as many questions as they want, and the clue-giver may only answer with "yes" or "no."

Scoring:
- If the word is guessed within the time, the group earns points.

If the word is not guessed, the card goes back under the deck, and the group earns no point.

Next Round:
- Another player in the group now draws the next card and gives clues.
End of the Game
- The game ends when a predetermined number of cards have been played or a certain score is reached.
- Winner is the group with the most points.
Strategic Tips
- Try to give specific clues that lead to quick associations.
- Pay attention to your group's strengths and weaknesses: some players may be better at guessing, while others excel at giving clues.
- Use small gestures wisely to convey complex concepts.
