Schlaraffen Affen

Objective

The objective of Schlaraffen Affen is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards by cleverly using different action cards and assigning monkey cards to other players.

Game Components

• A deck of 54 cards consisting of:
• 40 Action cards (10 different actions)
• 10 Monkey cards
• 4 Joker cards
• Rulebook

Setup

1. Thoroughly shuffle all the cards and distribute an equal number of cards to each player depending on the number of players. The remaining cards form the draw pile.
2. The player whose birthday is next begins the game.

Gameplay

• The game is played clockwise.
• The player on turn plays a card from their hand onto the discard pile and performs the corresponding action.
• If a player cannot play a suitable card, they must draw a card from the draw pile.
• Action cards offer additional strategic avenues:

Key Actions:

• "Draw Two": The next player must draw two cards and cannot play a card.
• "Reverse": Changes the direction of play.
• "Skip": The next player is skipped.

• "Swap": Allows you to swap all cards with another player.

• Monkey Cards: When played, the player can decide to play an additional card of any value.

• Joker Cards: These cards are universal and can be used as any action card.

Strategic Tips

• Be sure to use your Monkey Cards wisely to gain an advantage.
• Keep track of other players' card count to be strategic with "Draw Two" or "Skip".
• Use "Swap" at a strategically valuable moment to potentially gain jokers or matching cards.

End of the Game

The game ends when a player has no cards left in their hand. This player wins the game.
