Objective
Razzia! is an exciting auction game where players take on the role of mob bosses trying to acquire the most valuable possessions, influence, and wealth through clever bidding. The goal is to have the most points at the end through collected cards and money.
Setup
- Each player receives a player board and $10,000 in starting money.
- The auction cards are shuffled and placed as a face-down deck.
- Depending on the number of players, Razzia tokens are distributed.
Gameplay
The game proceeds over several rounds consisting of auction phases. Each round ends when a Razzia token is revealed.
Auction Phase
- Reveal Cards: The round-starting player reveals a number of cards depending on the number of players.
- Place a Bid: Players take turns bidding on the visible card piles. A player may pass if they do not want to place a bid.
- Award: The player with the highest bid wins the pile. They pay the amount to the bank and place the cards in front of them.
Special Features
- Razzia Cards: If a Razzia card appears, the current phase ends immediately. Players then secure the Razzia tokens they've collected.
- Bribes: Players can use bribes to temporarily increase their bid value.
End of the Game
The game ends after all Razzia cards have been revealed, and no more rounds can be played. Players tally the values of their cards and any remaining money. Special combination bonuses can also bring points.
Strategy Tips
- Manage Money: Be careful not to spend all your money too early to stay flexible.
- Card Building: Certain cards offer additional advantages in combination with others and can multiply points.
- Timing Razzia: Try to anticipate when Razzia cards might appear to plan your bids better.
