Game Materials

  • 5 dice
  • A score pad for notes or a corresponding scoring sheet
  • A pen for each player

Gameplay

1. Setup: Each player receives a score sheet and a pen. The score sheet contains categories that provide different point values. Typically, the categories are: Ones, Twos, Threes, Fours, Fives, Sixes, Three of a Kind, Four of a Kind, Full House, Small Straight, Large Straight, Chance, and Kakelorum. Each player has three rolls per turn to fulfill one of these categories.

2. A Player's Turn: - First Roll: The player rolls all five dice. - Second and Third Rolls: The player can set aside any number of dice and re-roll the remaining ones. The player gets two re-rolls in total to achieve the desired outcome. - Recording the Result: At the end of their turn, the player chooses an open category on their score sheet and writes the result. Each category can only be used once. If the outcome is unfavorable, the player may enter a zero in any category.
