The Wandering Towers

Objective

The Wandering Towers is a strategic board game in which players aim to move their wizard figures into a magic school by strategically navigating a modular board and interacting with moving towers. The first player to get all their wizards into the school wins by cleverly moving and hiding in towers.

Components

• Game board with a circular track
• Movable towers that can be stacked
• Wizard figures for each player
• Movement and action cards

Setup

Each player receives: - A set number of wizard figures in a designated color. - A hand of cards that dictate movements.

Place the game board at the center, and set up the towers according to the scenario instructions.

Gameplay

The game proceeds in turns, moving clockwise. Each player completes the following steps during their turn:

1. Play a Card: Choose a card from your hand to determine the movement range or type.
2. Move: Move either a wizard or a tower based on the card:
3. Move Wizard: Move a wizard to an adjacent space or into a tower within reach.
4. Move Tower: Towers can be moved a number of spaces on the board, and wizards within a tower move along. Towers can be stacked on top of each other if landing on another.
5. Place Wizards in School: Once a wizard reaches the school, remove it from the board to indicate they've entered the school.

Special Points and Strategies

• Tower Stacking: Towers can move on top of each other for more complex maneuvers. This can be used to block opponents' progress or fulfill your own objectives.
• Card Management: Strategic use and timing of cards are crucial for controlling game piece movements and outcomes.
• Bluffing and Tactics: Since the positions of wizards inside towers aren’t always visible, players can confuse opponents through clever plays.

Winning the Game

The game ends immediately when a player has moved all their wizards into the school. That player is declared the winner.
