Objective of the Game

Sky Team is a cooperative board game where players take on the roles of a pilot and co-pilot. The objective is to jointly and safely land an aircraft by managing various flight challenges.

Components

• 1 game board (featuring runway, control center, and instrument checks)
• Dice in various colors
• Pilot and Co-pilot dashboards
• Navigation and control markers
• Event cards representing different challenges
• Rulebook

Setup

1. Board Setup: Place the game board in the center of the table.
2. Assigning Roles: One player takes on the role of the pilot, the other the co-pilot.
3. Preparing Markers and Cards: Shuffle the event cards and place them facedown. Keep the markers and dice within reach.

Gameplay

The game progresses in rounds, during which new event cards are drawn presenting the challenges for that round.

1. Draw an Event Card

At the beginning of each round, the pilot draws an event card and reads it aloud. This card sets the current weather conditions or technical challenges affecting the dice rolls.

2. Rolling Dice

Both pilot and co-pilot roll the dice. Each player has a specific number of dice they can roll.

3. Planning and Coordination

Players must communicate and decide how to allocate their dice to: - Correctly adjust instrument readings, - Ensure the stability and control of the aircraft, - Reach landing speed and a smooth approach angle.

4. Executing Actions

Based on their plan, players place the dice on the game board. Each successful placement helps overcome the round’s challenges.

5. Check Outcomes

Once the dice are placed, verify the outcomes: - Do the set values match the event card’s requirements? - Are the instrument settings accurate? - Are all necessary conditions for a safe landing met?

If all conditions are met, the aircraft lands safely.

Special Features and Strategies

• Communication is key: Players must communicate effectively to tackle the challenges.
• Flexibility: Plans might need last-minute adjustments based on the rolled values.
• Consistent Planning: Players should keep previous rounds in mind to learn from past mistakes or capitalize on successful strategies.

End of the Game

The game successfully ends when the aircraft lands safely. Players lose if they fail to meet the required flight parameters in a round or if the game board indicates the aircraft has crashed.
