OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME

"Civilization" is a strategy board game where players aim to build the most powerful and prestigious empire of the ancient world. The game ends when a civilization reaches a certain number of advancement points or after a set number of turns have been played. The player with the most points wins the game.

GAME SETUP

  1. Set up the game board: Place the board in the center of the table. Each region represents a part of the ancient world with different geographical features.
  2. Distribute materials: Each player receives a civilization card, game pieces, cities, markers, and trade cards in a unified color.
  3. Starting positions: Starting positions for the civilizations are marked on the game board.
  4. Advancement cards: Sort these cards by type (trade, science, culture, etc.) and place them face down.
  5. Create market and trade: Players create trade and resource piles according to the instructions in the rulebook.
  6. Determine order: Player order is determined by drawing lots or another method described in the rules.
  7. Distribute starting resources: Each player begins the game with a set number of resources according to their civilization card.

GAME RULES

The game proceeds in rounds, each consisting of several phases:

  3. Trade cards can be swapped, and players may need to bluff to achieve better trades.
