Objective of the Game:

The objective of the game "Pamphile" is to be the first player to discard all of your cards by following the gameplay rules. The first player to have no cards left in hand wins the game.

Game Materials:

"Pamphile" is typically played with a standard 52-card deck. No special board is required.

Setup:

  1. Shuffle the deck thoroughly.
  2. Deal 7 cards to each player.
  3. Place the remaining deck face down as the draw pile in the center of the table.

Gameplay:

  1. The player to the dealer's left starts the game.
  2. The first player puts down a card in the middle of the table and announces the value (e.g., "seven").
  3. Subsequent players must, in turn, put down a card of the same value until someone can't or doesn't have a matching card to play.

  4. If a player cannot play a matching card, they have to draw a card from the draw pile.

  5. If the draw pile is empty, play continues with the remaining playable cards until no more matches can be made.

  6. The game ends when a player has successfully discarded all of their cards. This player is the winner.

Special Rules:

  • Jokers: If jokers are included, they can replace any card needed. The player placing a joker can call out a new card value.
  • Eights: In some variations, an eight acts as a wild card, allowing the player to declare any new card value when played.

Strategic Tips:

  • Try to mix your hand cards well so you can react to multiple values.
  • Save powerful cards like Jokers or Eights for strategic moments to maximize their advantage.

"Pamphile" is a fun game that requires strategy and a bit of luck. Enjoy playing!
