Objective of the Game

The objective of Squirrel Rush is to be the first player to get all your squirrels safely to the home nest by collecting resources and overcoming obstacles.

Setup

1. Game Board: Place the game board in the middle of the table. It depicts a forest with several winding paths.
2. Player Pieces: Each player selects a color and takes four squirrel figures.
3. Shuffle Cards: Shuffle the deck of collectible cards thoroughly and place it face down next to the board.
4. Resource Markers: Place the nut and berry markers within reach of all players.

Gameplay

1. Starting Position: Each player places their squirrels on the start space in their corner of the board.
2. Turn Sequence:
3. Draw a Card: The player draws a card from the deck and interprets the action. Cards may allow additional moves, resource collection, or setting traps.
4. Move: Move one of your squirrel pieces according to the number or instruction on the card.
5. Collect Resources: If your squirrel lands on a resource space, you can collect the resource.

6. Special Spaces: If you land on a special space, perform the corresponding action (e.g., draw an event card, gain extra moves, etc.).

7. Using Resources: Collected resources can be used to unlock extra moves or execute special actions like progressing through obstacles.

Obstacles and Traps

• Squirrel Duels: If an opponent's squirrel lands on the same space, a duel occurs where both players give up a nut marker, and the winner is decided by rolling the dice.
• Laying Traps: Some cards allow you to place traps on paths. The next player who lands there must skip their turn.

Winning the Game

The first player to place all four of their squirrels safely in the home nest wins the game.

Strategic considerations may include when to spend resources to avoid traps or when to take risks to choose faster paths.
