Fauna: A Beastly Knowledge Game

Objective: The main objective of "Fauna" is to earn points by correctly estimating animal data such as habitat, weight, or length.

Game Components

Game Board: Features a world map with 6 continents and oceans.
Guess Areas: For categories like habitat, weight, length (or tail length).
Animal Cards: With information on various animals (hidden side) and complete data (open side).
Various Tokens: Each player has guess tokens in a unique color.
A score card for each player.

Each player picks a color and takes the corresponding guess and score markers.
Animal cards are shuffled and placed in a face-down deck.
Draw and reveal the top animal card so only the name and illustration side is visible.

An Animal is Revealed:
Players see only the name and picture of the animal.
Categories to guess like typical habitats, and physical measures are indicated.
Round Progression:
In turns, players place one of their guess tokens.
A guess can be on a continent for the habitat or on a division on the scales for weight, length, or tail length.
Once all players pass or all tokens are placed, a resolution takes place.
Resolution:
Cards are flipped to reveal the animal's correct data.
Points are awarded based on correct guesses and adjacent fields.
Scoring:
Correct guess: The player receives full points, depending on the category.
Adjacent fields: Provide half points.
Retrieve the guess token and start a new round.

Blocking: A spot in a category can only be occupied by one guess token on the board.
Number of Rounds: The game ends after a predetermined number of animal cards have been played.

Sample Knowledge: Having broad knowledge about animals can be beneficial.
Risk and Reward: When unsure, players should consider placing bets on adjacent fields for potential partial points.

After several rounds (depending on previously set length) are completed, the player with the most points wins.
