Objective of the Game
Elements is a strategic card game where players aim to gain control over the four Elements - Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. The goal is to accumulate the most points by skillful card play and utilizing their special abilities.
Game Components
- A deck of Element Cards
- Score counters or paper and pencil to track the points
Setup
- Shuffle the Deck: Thoroughly shuffle the Element cards.
- Deal the Cards: Each player receives four cards.
- First Player: The youngest player begins the game.
Gameplay
The game is played in rounds, with each round following these steps:
- Play a Card: The starting player chooses one of their four hand cards and plays it face-up in front of them.
- Trigger Effects: The card may have an effect that is immediately executed. Effects can include attack, defense, or special actions like drawing extra cards or stealing cards from others.
- Next Player: The next player, in clockwise order, then plays their card.
- End of Round: Once all players have played a card, the round ends, and players draw a new card from the deck.
Special Rules
- Element Combos: Certain combinations of elements yield additional benefits. For example, playing Fire and Air together might cause a "Fire Tornado," doubling the points.
- Deck Replacement: When the draw pile is exhausted, shuffle the discard pile to form a new draw pile.
- Element Conflicts: If a player plays two opposing elements (such as Water and Fire), they must discard one of their cards.
Ending the Game and Scoring
The game concludes when a player reaches a predetermined score (e.g., 50 points), agreed upon at the start. The player with the most points wins.

- Card Combinations: Keep an eye out for powerful element combinations to maximize points in a round.
- Hand Management: Strive to maintain a balanced mix of elements in hand to remain adaptable to opponents' strategies.
- Utilize Effects: Use cards with strong effects strategically against key opponents to disrupt their plans.
